I didn't think it was possible, but Save As has become even more annoying in
CS3. The Adobe Save As dialogue forces you to aim for a particular location in
the drop-down, to get it to scroll, to reveal the last few file types, like TGA
and TIFF.
Why? It's not like we're running this in 640x480, and that showing 11 file
types is all you can, in good conscience, do. There are 19 file types, and I
have 1024 vertical pixels for you to show all of them. The OS dialogue does.
But, if I want a dialogue where I can stuff favorite folders easily into a
sidebar, I give up a better filetype dropdown, and, as I've made clear a
mood-crashing jjillion times, I Save As all day, from PSD to TGA. You have to
aim precisely to get the menu to scroll, instead of just showing the whole
thing, or having a scrollbar in there that I can just click. This change will
just add to my collection of Save As-inspired facial tics.
