I'm attempting to install CS3 extended beta 1448 on a new Vista Ultimate
machine. When I run Setup I get the User Account Control box, I select
Continue, and the install quits. I tried the following:

#1445655: Win: Unregistered dlls on Vista can cause installer to fail
------------------------------------------------------------
Workaround:
1) Launch the Command Prompt from an account with admin privileges
2) Type in the following command and press Return
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\vbscript.dll
3) Type in the following command and press Return
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\jscript.dll
4) Launch Setup

and get the Error code 0x80004005. Any suggestions?

You should address this to the pre-release forum. This forum is for the public beta, which is a much earlier build.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The pre-release forums have been shut down, no
archives I can find. Adobe tech support sent me here, said this was the only
option for CS3 tech support at this time. I will search elsewhere.

Sorry for the intrusion. :-)

Best regards,
Paul
