Blinking Cursor ?Can not change layer blending Mode

The cursor started blinking and it does not matter what tool I have, it blinks
between the current tool and an arrow.

I can use the drop down menu in the layers blend mode, the menu drops down and
then snaps back before I can select a blending mode.

Running windows XP pro

I've been getting the same problem in the last week of use as well. Any responses out there?

Hmmm, assuming it's not a stuck key, it sounds like a mouse driver issue. What
pointing devices are you using? Be sure to update to the latest version of the
mouse driver software for your device.

Or maybe it only affects users whose names start with "pix"...

I had the same problem and it disappeared when I disabled some non compatible plug-ins.
