need help with actions

I usually open about 50 psd files. It takes a long time to save and close each
one individually. What I want to do is complete my work on all the files and
start an "action" to save and close them all while I do other things (like
sleep) Any insights would be much appreciated!!!

Record an action that saves and closes. Open your Files. Go to File > Automate > Batch, choose you action, Source = Opened Files.
